Our brief history
Symplatform 2 took place between May 17th and May 20th in a fully digital format.
We had 2 special guests, 4 speeches, the chance to listen to 19 papers and 2 start-ups presenting their challenges. We had more than 230 registered participants, more than 100 participants in the single session and an uncountable number of feedback and reflections on the world of platforms.
We are looking forward for the third edition!
May 17th: 2.00-3.30 pm CET – Opening session
The opening session featured the speech by Christopher Tucci, Professor of Digital Strategy and Innovation at the Imperial College Business School titled “Platforms and Business Models“.
The second speech was titled “Digital Platforms: Unlocking the Power of Networks” by Laurent Muzellec, Sebastien Ronteau and Deepak Saxena. It is available here.
May 18th: 2.00-4.00 pm CET – Paper presentations and discussions
May 19th: 2.00-3.30 pm CET – Paper presentations and discussions
May 20th: 2.00-3.30 pm CET – Closing session
The closing session featured the speech by Pinar Ozcan, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Oxford titled “Platforms and Digital Disruption in Highly Regulated Sectors: The Case of Finance“.
The second part of the closing session featured a presentation and discussions titled “A new (digital) sustainability: Business Model Transparency” by Daniel Trabucchi and Tommaso Buganza available here.
